Growth Engineer
Spendesk is looking for a marketing-savvy, front-end engineer who is excited to make a real, and highly visible impact at Spendesk. As the technical go-to for marketing, you will drive key growth metrics (conversion), and own the development and enhancement of our key marketing websites. This includes devising and running experiments, building out new website components and functionalities, improving UX, site performance, SEO, conversion rates and managing technical bugs and enhancements.
This role requires someone with a strong technical and project management skillset, but equally someone with good stakeholder management and prioritisation skills who is both customer centric and performance driven. As a SaaS company, our website is the core of our business. It's our 5th Avenue showroom, and the first place our customers and prospects land on when they visit us.
Day to day, you will be working in the Web Squad, part of the Product Marketing team and broader Marketing team. Your squad will be composed of a Website Manager, another Growth Engineer, and a Web Designer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Devising, running and productizing web experiments (A/B tests, growth campaigns, new UX to better convert visitors, etc.)
  • Working on the development and maintenance of the Spendesk & CFO Connect websites (including blog, paid and organic landing pages, product pages, careers pages, etc.)
  • Implementing best practices for SEO and conversion optimisations
  • Proactively improving the website and landing pages through Storyblok (our CMS)
  • Supporting marketing and data in implementing data tracking
  • Improving the website technical performances and the developer experience
Here’s What an Ideal Candidate Could Look Like:
  • 3+ years’ experience in front-end development
  • Fluent in English
  • Growth mindset and comfortable with building tests and experimentations
  • Autonomous and accountable
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for good-looking UI
  • Resourceful, highly curious, and an appetite for testing and learning
  • Rigorous with code quality and other engineering best practices (testing, maintenance, design patterns, architecture)
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and online marketing technics
  • Comfortable with APIs
  • Effective communication and project management skills
  • You prefer a vague problematic rather than defined specs
  • You start with the why and you are able to challenge the status quo
  • You have an interest in working with people as well as writing code
