The Role

We’re on the hunt for a standout Front End Engineer who thrives in crafting and expanding our platform. You will embody a perfect fusion of technical prowess, and a knack for tackling challenges, all within the dynamic pace of a startup setting. In our team, adaptability is key. Engineers who are proactive in finding problems and forging solutions independently. You’ll play a pivotal role in the development process, influencing every feature from concept to execution, and gaining unparalleled insights into the mechanics of building and scaling a Fintech Startup.

About you

– You possess deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS, with a strong background in developing scalable front-end architectures using Next.js and Tailwind.
– You are experienced in the deployment of webapps using the Vercel platform and can showcase a previous project that you have worked on and you are proud of.
– You have a solid history of leading front-end projects, aiming to further your career in this path by leveraging your interpersonal skills and empathy to promote a collaborative and results-driven engineering culture. Daily interactions with key company leaders including the CTO and CEO are part of your role.
– With an ownership mentality, you quickly move customer-facing features from concept to live, prioritizing excellent visuals and usability. You proactively solve problems, ensuring high design standards and optimal solutions.
– Experienced in the startup ecosystem, you adapt swiftly and take initiative without needing direct prompts, embodying flexibility and a proactive work style.
– You’re accustomed to an early engineer role within a startup, ready to tackle issues directly.
– Your passion for technology drives you to share knowledge and advocate for cutting-edge solutions within the team.

Role Responsibilities

– You’ll be a go-to person for all things ‘Front End,’ taking ownership and collaborating with the CTO to set technical direction. Working closely with product and design teams, you’ll shape and design features for both new and existing products.
– Your main responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features using Tailwind CSS and TypeScript, with a focus on creating visually stunning and scalable UI components. Additionally, you’ll improve the frontend architecture, prioritizing pragmatic solutions suited to our current development stage.
– You’ll assist in spearheading hiring – working with our Head of People to scale a first-class engineering team. – – You’ll help to develop the existing team, providing mentorship, and enabling a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
– You’ll ensure clean code through extensive code reviews. You’ll help establish and promote our remote-first engineering culture.
