Senior Product Engineer
As a Senior Product Engineer on our new Growth team, your mission would be to build and iterate on features and systems that drive user acquisition, activation, and retention—ultimately accelerating n8n’s self-serve growth engine. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding engineer on a high-impact team where you’ll collaborate closely with product, design, marketing, and engineering peers to improve the entire Cloud user journey—from sign-up to subscription.
What You’ll Do
- Improve and maintain growth-critical features – You’ll take ownership of flows like signup, onboarding, and the admin dashboard to ensure a smooth, performant experience for every new user
- Ship high-impact experiments – You’ll design, build, and A/B test new features to increase conversion and retention — think upgrade flows, contextual prompts, or new pricing nudges
- Scale our growth systems – You’ll help build and optimize services to enable user growth at scale, like in-app messaging platforms, billing systems, and email orchestration tools
- Drive measurable business outcomes - Your work will directly contribute to n8n’s ARR, user retention, and growth KPIs. You'll track performance, identify areas to improve, and ship iteratively to increase activation and retention
Projects You Might Tackle
- Adding social login and personalization to our signup flow to optimise the signup funnel
- Building new upgrade and downgrade flows to optimize conversion and retention
- Building an in-app notification platform to push and orchestrate messages to users

Who You Are & What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and Vue or React (plus HTML/CSS/UI libraries)
- Experience building user-facing SaaS products end-to-end in a start-up environment
- Product mindedness: you deeply care about the user experience and business impact
- Comfort with ambiguity: You don’t wait for perfect specs, designs, or ideal conditions. You move forward with what’s available and iterate quickly. You know when to ship a fast MVP and when to design for scale.
- Speed + ownership mindset: You move fast but responsibly, understanding that experimentation and velocity are core to unlocking growth.
Nice-to-have
- Data fluency – You know how to interpret metrics and make decisions based on user behavior and experiments.
- Experience with CI pipelines, cloud deployments, or DevOps tooling
- Exposure to pricing strategy, funnel optimization, or revenue KPIs
- Past experience as a founder or early-stage startup engineer
