Staff Front End Engineer

We are building an Apple-scale data platform experience with a focus on Data Analytics, Data Processing, and next-generation experiences powered by Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, and robust Data Governance. We're seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented front-end web developer to build scalable, high-performance web applications that empower users to explore, view, and act on complex data and AI-driven insights—while ensuring compliance with Apple’s data privacy and governance standards.

The ideal candidate has a passion for crafting intuitive and elegant user interfaces that simplify sophisticated technologies. You’ll play a key role in shaping the user experience for ML, Gen AI, and data governance features—designing interactive interfaces that help users understand model outputs, interpret AI-generated content, and make data-driven decisions confidently and responsibly.

This person will have a tremendous amount of individual responsibility and influence over the direction of many critical Apple internet services for years to come. You are someone with ideas and a real passion for building user experiences by creating interfaces that are simple, easy to comprehend, performant, and reliable. This engineer’s work will impact hundreds of millions of users and be essential to the success of some of the most visible current and future Apple features.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in front-end development and user interface design, with a proven track record of building responsive, high-performance, and visually polished web applications.
• Experience with React, NodeJS, and ES6 concepts.
• Experience with a modern front-end build tool, e.g., Webpack.
• End-to-End Web application development experience.
• Good knowledge of APIs and REST architecture.
• Ability to work with other developers on the team(s) and deliver solid and tested products.
• Should have excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced development team.
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.

• Sass, Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of one of the charting libraries, e.g., D3.
• Design, UI, UX principles.
• Experience with Python and Java.
• Kubernetes and Docker knowledge a plus.
• Experience working on or integrating AI/ML-driven applications.
