We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to help build and scale the core infrastructure that powers FuturHealth’s personalized care platform. You’ll contribute to the design and development of APIs and services that support our web, mobile, and data products. This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about performance, security, and systems that improve lives.

What You’ll Do

Design and implement reliable, scalable backend services and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Frontend, and Data.
Participate in technical design discussions and architectural reviews.
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
Support system observability, performance tuning, and secure data practices.
Contribute to backend engineering standards and code review processes.
Help ensure compliance with healthcare privacy and security standards (HIPAA, HiTrust).

About You

Experience:

4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Demonstrated ability to ship and support production-grade systems at scale.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Node.js and/or Python (TypeScript a plus).
Strong grasp of API development, microservices, database design, and authentication.
Familiarity with AWS (or another cloud provider), PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of testing frameworks, error monitoring, and performance profiling.

Nice to Have

Experience in regulated or healthcare environments (HIPAA, HiTrust).

Experience integrating third-party APIs or working with event-driven systems.
