Role Description
Dropbox is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support the buildout and operations of our global network of data centers and Points of Presence (PoPs).
This hands-on role involves physical infrastructure work, including the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networking and server hardware (routers, switches, servers).
Responsibilities
- Support datacenter operations and resolve abnormal conditions
- Troubleshoot and repair servers
- Install servers, racks, and network equipment
- Assist with infrastructure deployment and rollout
- Promote best practices for datacenter operations
- Collaborate with SRE and Network Engineering to automate processes
- Handle shipments and track server assets
Requirements
- 2+ years experience with large-scale datacenter hardware deployments
- Intermediate knowledge of network topology (fiber and copper)
- Hands-on experience with server and PC hardware
- Intermediate Linux knowledge (DNS, git, basic scripting, regex)
- Able to lift 9–23 kg daily
- Strong verbal/written communication
- Excellent time and project management skills
Compensation
France Pay Range:
€46,800—€63,400 EUR (Annual Salary)
Salary/OTE is part of Dropbox’s total rewards. Regular employees are eligible for bonuses or sales incentives (when applicable) and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
