Mid Weight Software Engineer

Are you an enthusiastic Mid-weight Software Engineer with a passion for developing customer facing mobile apps?

If so, we are looking for a Mid-Weight Software Engineer to join the dynamic Haven Digital team. Working for one of the UK's best-loved holiday brands, you will work in a dedicated squad of engineers, working to develop exciting new features in our mobile apps.

With an ambitious digital road-map to support an equally ambitious growth plan, You can be based anywhere in the UK for this role, as long as you’re happy to travel occasionally to meet up with your team and stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

As a ‘mid-weight’ Software Engineer, you will be responsible:

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end and/or full stack applications
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and implement new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our products.
• Help and mentor more junior engineers as well as develop your own engineering skills
  

• Demonstrable experience working in a software engineering role featuring Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Flutter and React.
• Good working knowledge of TDD and other testing practice
• Previous experience of teamwork in a cloud-first environment
• A core understanding of digital products – user cases, users, interactions to build the right solution for the customer
