Backend Developer, EU based

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a fully remote, EU-based team.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, demonstrates problem-solving skills and teamwork, and thrives in an Agile environment delivering scalable, high-quality internal applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services for internal applications
• Contribute to the design and development of new features, providing effective coding solutions to business needs
• Participate in scaling applications globally
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver expected outcomes
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Write and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

• Strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot
• Familiarity with Kotlin programming language
• Familiarity with Apache Wicket framework
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, particularly React (optional)
• Ability to navigate and operate RHEL OS
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
