Job Description MedAdventures is seeking a local contract CT Technologist for a local contract job in Morristown, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Local Contract Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient care in various settings, including urgent care and emergency medicine. Duties - Perform CT scans with precision, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans. - Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and staff. - Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures to minimize risks. - Assist in the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process to alleviate any concerns. - Conduct additional imaging procedures as required, including X-ray, DEXA scan, PET scan, mammography, and sonography. - Document all procedures accurately in accordance with departmental policies and standards. - Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and participate in ongoing professional development. Experience - Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is preferred. - Familiarity with nuclear medicine techniques is advantageous. - Experience in emergency room settings or urgent care environments is highly desirable. - Proficiency in various imaging modalities such as CT, X-ray, DEXA scan, PET scan, mammography, and sonography is essential. - Strong background in diagnostic evaluation processes and medical imaging practices. - Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
