We're backed by a fast-moving team behind Apeing DEX and are now expanding to launch our streaming vertical, with deep integration into our ecosystem of trading, NFTs, and crypto-native social.

The Role: Tech Lead – Streaming Infrastructure

We’re looking for a senior-level full-stack or backend-focused engineer to take the lead in building our core streaming infrastructure. You’ll work closely with our CTO and CEO to bring our MVP to life and own the entire live video delivery stack—from video ingestion to real-time features and blockchain integrations.

What You'll Build

A live video streaming engine (similar to Twitch or Kick) optimized for low latency
Real-time chat, emoji reactions, and other social UX
Blockchain integration (e.g., token-gated streams, NFT ticketing, on-chain tipping)
Admin dashboards and creator tools
Infrastructure that scales for thousands of concurrent viewers

Key Skills:

Experience building high‑scale streaming infrastructure
Experience with social features (chat, engagement, real-time interactions)
Ability to integrate streaming with blockchain protocols
Understands launchpad / token-gated content concepts
Proven track record delivering production-ready streaming platforms

Who We're Looking For

Must-Have Experience:

✅ 4+ years in software engineering (backend, full-stack, or infrastructure)
✅ Built or contributed to a video streaming platform (e.g., Kick, Twitch, YouTube Live)
✅ Solid grasp of RTMP/HLS, CDNs, transcoding, socket-based comms, and stream performance optimization
✅ Familiar with blockchain integrations: wallet connections, token gating, NFT passes, etc.
✅ Experience leading small teams and collaborating async across time zones

Bonus Points:

🧠 You’ve shipped social platforms or worked on real-time interactions (chat, reactions, voice)
🛠️ Experience with Solana, EVM, or other L1/L2 chains
📈 You're excited about ownership, fast iteration, and building something from scratch

💼 Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, implementation, and scaling of Stream.fun’s streaming backend
Collaborate with front-end, blockchain, and product teams asynchronously
Own infrastructure reliability, cost-efficiency, and performance
Contribute to long-term planning and feature roadmap
Help build a tech team around you over time
