Overview
About the Role
At Sona, the Talent team’s mission is to make the strongest possible hires for every position in the team, without compromising on speed. In this role, you’ll directly support that mission by leading the outbound strategy for our most complex and urgent hires as our first Talent Partner focused on sourcing.
With a global and business-wide remit, it’s an opportunity to work closely with a small, experienced Talent team, and senior leaders, to engage the strongest candidates out there through an exceptional story and employer brand paired with high quality outbound strategy. It’s an ideal role for someone excited about building a sourcing engine that can be hugely impactful in shaping the team in a high performing startup.
To excel, you’ll need to get to know our business inside out, be energised by tough searches, and love the process of finding great people and helping them get excited about what we’re building.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you will:
– Build high-quality outbound pipelines for our 2–3 most critical roles across all teams and geographies.
– Own the market maps, target company lists, and reporting that underpin the sourcing function.
– Build and nurture priority talent pools that support our future hires, including referrals, repeat hires, and diverse talent.
– Contribute to candidate-facing content and collateral to strengthen the employer brand you take to market.
– Implement AI and other tools to scale outbound sourcing.
– Expand into owning end-to-end hiring when volume is high.
Requirements
Everyone is different, but lots of these should apply to you:
– Proven experience sourcing for complex, high-bar roles, agency or in-house, ideally for early-stage tech companies
– Skilled in market mapping and consistently on the lookout for ways to improve your outbound approach.
– Enjoy the challenge of a tough search and recognise the impact great hiring has on our success
– Comfortable using data to consistently improve your process and communicate progress.
– Curious and commercially minded, you want to learn about how our business works and the ‘why’ behind every hire.
