Senior Python Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Python and modern data platforms. You’ll own the full lifecycle of feature development, from design and planning to implementation and deployment. This role suits someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, enjoys building reliable and scalable systems, and takes pride in writing clean, sustainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python 3.x
• Take full ownership of new feature development from ideation to production
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Work with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery) to build efficient data pipelines and integrations
• Write maintainable, well-tested, production-grade code
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and static analysis
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions
• Support and mentor other engineers as needed

• 5+ years of full-time professional experience with Python 3.x
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, code quality, documentation)
• Experience with at least one web framework (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI)
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing platforms (preferably Databricks)
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to deliver features independently

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GKE, Pub/Sub, Composer)
• Hands-on knowledge of Celery for distributed task processing
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven data pipelines
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch for search and analytics
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts
• Knowledge of React or Next.js
