Web Developer

The Web Developer role will be within our highly successful Water UK&IDigital Solutions team. You’ll be working alongside an award-winning team of Technology experts driving digital change across Stantec and our clients. We are user-focused, pushing new ways of working through digital approaches, whilst incorporating technology and data into our services and solutions.

Your input into the digital solutions will be fundamental to Stantec’s ongoing growth and success.  As part of a global team, you will help to develop newer and enhanced services and products for our clients.

The solutions you build will enable proactive management of assets and more informed investment planning. In turn, this will help our clients meet the challenges they face by utilising digital technology to benefit their customers and the communities they serve.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll be part of a collaborative, global team focused on building scalable, user-centric web applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and backend infrastructure using Python
• Participate in the full development lifecycle - from requirements gathering to deployment - within Microsoft Azure
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Work closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, web-based solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring robust and reliable performance

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in web development
• Contribute ideas to improve user experience, scalability and maintainability
