FOUNDING FRONTEND WEB ENGINEER

We’re seeking an entrepreneurial engineer who will work closely with the founders to build and scale the world’s first Living World RPG, and ushers in the next generation of role playing games.

This is a frontend, product engineering role with the additional ownership that comes with being our first frontend engineer. You’ll play a fundamental role in shaping both the product and Infinity Fiction as a company.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the frontend architecture of the Infinity Fiction platform, ensuring seamless user experiences and exceptional performance
• Collaborate with our design team to craft intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that meet the needs of our customers
• Develop and maintain reusable, modular, and scalable frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
• Work closely with our architect and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and data exchange between frontend and backend systems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on frontend development best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our platform

• Proven experience in leading frontend development, with a strong focus on TypeScript
• Strong expertise with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, React native)
• Strong expertise with front-end testing methodologies and tools such as Cypress, Jest.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less) and CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Styled Components, Emotion)
• Proven experience in working on projects from scratch, being part of a project from ideation to completion.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills and an ability to foster a positive and productive team culture.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Nomad)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Experience with other front-end frameworks (Vue.js, angular)
• Experience with back-end language Python and web frameworks such as Django/FastAPI.
