Staff Software Engineer
As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll be driving and proposing strategies around complex and unique technical problems affecting the business needs, communicating standards and getting buy-in on solutions. By serving as an expert and owner in multiple areas of the codebase you will successfully deliver architecture/ execution of major components from conception to release. You understand the tradeoffs between technical, UX and product needs from interacting and negotiating with key stakeholders by leading to solutions that take all of these needs into account. You are passionate about the development of others by providing technical guidance and mentoring. In turn, you are looked up to for technical mentorship within the scrum team.
As a Staff Software Engineer you will be a part of our Product and Engineering team who are at the forefront of keeping our customers safe from attacks and breaches. In this role you will be focussed on helping our customers seamlessly manage their security solutions as effectively and efficiently as possible, and ensuring our products are delivering a secure experience. You will be working on a high impact and cross-functional team, creating end-to-end security solutions that drive customer success. You will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills surrounded by a team of incredibly smart and experienced Engineers, whilst mentoring others. Specifically, your focus will be to:
- Build, maintain, and release our well architected services by writing correct and clean code consistently and following best practices and conventions. You will be recognized across teams for writing maintainable, stable, and well-architected code
- Be involved in driving the design and planning of upcoming features, our engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process
- When required, partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management who work deeply with our product to ensure we are understanding our customers needs
- Deeply understand our products and make high impact decisions to support our customers
- Work with Practice specific technologies
- A minimum of 8 years experience in software development using Python or other equivalent programming languages
- Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn, with the ability to mentor more junior members of the team

- Collaborative team player who has the ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
- Strong creative problem solving skills
- Solid communicator with the ability to clearly convey objectives and rationale whilst fostering commitment from others both within the team and cross functionally

- Demonstrable experience of delivering complex solutions to customers
- Demonstrable experience of instigating continuous delivery and continuous integration patterns
