Python + AWS DevOps Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an exceptionally technical, hands-on DevOps Engineer whose primary responsibilities will involve AWS cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and expertise in RDS/Postgres. This is a full-time position for several months, with the possibility to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud environments with Terraform and best DevOps practices, focusing on RDS/Postgres management and optimization.
Build, monitor, and maintain CD pipelines and automation workflows.
Write, test, and maintain scripts and infrastructure - primarily using Python.
Work hands-on with a variety of DevOps tools, including Kubernetes and Ansible.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and proactively enhance infrastructure and deployment speed.
Collaborate closely with software developers to enable velocity in delivery.
Work independently, remotely, and securely, with access to required cloud resources via VPN.
Who You Are:
Primary Experience:Â AWS, Terraform, RDS/Postgres; CD (not just CI), cloud architecture.
Mindset: Software engineer at heart - approx. 60% developer and 40% IT.
Toolbox:Â Comfortably âplaysâ with Python, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.
Working style:Â Intensely technical, adaptable, fast-paced, and hands-on.
Remote Readiness: Must be able to work independently behind a VPN.Â
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with additional AWS services.
Performance monitoring and security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Compensation:Â Competitive; dependent on experience and skills.
Duration: 6 months with a strong potential for extension.
