This isn’t your typical backend job. You’ll be shaping new products from scratch, rapidly prototyping features and building the backend systems that power a platform at the intersection of sports, data and tech. If you enjoy solving complex engineering problems and love the idea of your work directly impacting passionate fans, this is for you.

What you’ll be doing:

Architecting and maintaining scalable backend systems
Prototyping new features and shipping fast based on real user behaviour
Building and optimising APIs for internal + third-party integrations
Leading on database performance, design and optimisation
Working closely with a CTO and product stakeholders to shape the roadmap

What they’re looking for:

5+ years backend experience (Python)
Strong SQL + NoSQL fundamentals
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Confident designing & integrating RESTful APIs
Someone who communicates well and enjoys collaborating

Bonus points if you’re into sports or real-time data engineering.

Salary - Up to £100k

Remote within the UK.
