The Opportunity

Saffron is seeking a highly driven Business Development Manager to accelerate institutional growth and liquidity expansion.

The goal of this role is to attract, onboard, and scale liquidity providers, including funds, market makers, family offices, HNWI, and crypto-native partners, while driving strategic relationships and revenue.

This role requires an entrepreneurial closer, someone with strong sales instincts, dealmaking talent, and a deep understanding of capital flows across TradFi and DeFi. You should be comfortable speaking to investors, negotiating terms, and turning interest into capital committed on-chain.

To Be Successful in This Role

You will:

• Build, manage and convert a pipeline of liquidity providers and institutional partners.
• Source, pitch, and close capital commitments through direct outreach, networking, and events.
• Develop partnerships across crypto funds, asset managers, market makers, and strategic DeFi protocols.
• Collaborate with product and leadership to tailor structured products for institutional needs.
• Represent Saffron at conferences, AMAs, and ecosystem events to drive awareness and adoption.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and liquidity flows to identify growth opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally to design BD strategies, sales materials, and onboarding processes.
• Report growth metrics and deal outcomes with transparency and ownership.

You Ideally Have:

• 3+ years experience in institutional sales, investor relations, fund raising, trading desk, or DeFi BD.
• A strong network of liquidity providers, funds, HNWI, syndicates, or family offices.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and raise capital.
• Knowledge of DeFi markets, liquidity pools, and yield products.
• Ability to communicate financial products clearly and persuasively.
• Self-directed, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with autonomy.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in structured products, derivatives, or fixed-yield instruments.
• Previous work with crypto liquidity providers or on-chain financial products.
• Demonstrated results scaling TVL for a DeFi protocol.
• Strong negotiation skills backed by deal history.
• Existing relationships in institutional crypto circles.

Compensation

This role offers a base salary in the range of $140,000–$160,000 USD, with additional performance-based upside.
