Required skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, while C#/.NET. Java experience is a strong plus.
Position Description:
We are seeking a Front-End Developer to focus on mitigating accessibility issues in public records. Required skills include JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and C#/.NET. Java experience is a strong plus. Ideally, the candidate will also have experience mentoring and supporting other developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accessibility bugs remediation. It is expected that work will be heavy on JavaScript
- Monitoring agreed timelines and being responsible for the commitments
- Actively collaborating with testing QA to define scope of regression testing
- Communicating with accessibility specialists
- Participate in customer and project meetings to gather requirements and provide technical insights
- Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
- Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making processes
Required Skills:
- JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML/CSS
- .NET/ ASP.NET MVC (at least the ability to read the code and willingness to do some work with it)
- Excellent communication skills
Nice to have Skills:
- Web Accessibility, WCAG 2.0+ standards
- Assistive Technology Tools, i.e. NVDA or JAWS screen readers
- UX Design experience
- Axe tools
- Azure DevOps
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and methodologies.
