In this role, you will be a key player in building new features for our Trimble Electrical Design (TED) and MEP platform, working directly with domain experts to redefine productivity and quality. You will be at the forefront of modern development, owning problems from end-to-end and leveraging cutting-edge AI methodologies to maintain a competitive edge in industrial technology.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize robust features across the full application stack, from backend electrical calculations to front-end user experiences.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools daily to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and automate routine tasks.
  • Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and performance tuning.
  • Research and integrate software engineering best practices, focusing on adopting new AI methodologies to keep our team at the cutting edge.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in scrum deliveries and assisting with the production of user stories and documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience building and shipping enterprise-level software applications.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET/C# with a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns.
  • Proven experience with web technologies, including .NET Core, REST APIs, and modern front-end frameworks like Angular or WPF.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and development tools, such as AWS, Azure, Git, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Bonus Points For
  • Familiarity with Microservices, Docker, RabbitMQ, and NoSQL databases and cloud architecture.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging AI tools and techniques.
  • Professional or personal experience working within or developing software for the construction industry, in particular Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing software applications.
  • Experience with white-box testing methodologies and a commitment to building well-tested, high-quality software.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or championing new development practices.
