Lead Frontend Engineer (Staff / Principal)

We’re looking for a genuine technical leader for an exciting HealthTech startup, building a global platform with real-world impact.

You’re a Staff/Principal-level frontend engineer who:

• Has led architecture and solution design.
• Has guided small, high-performing groups.
• Still writes exceptional production code.
• Can clearly defend your technical decisions (references required).
• Champions AI-augmented, spec-driven engineering.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and evolve frontend architecture (scalability, performance, maintainability).
• Make key decisions on frameworks, state, testing, CI/CD.
• Build complex, performant React + TypeScript applications.
• Own design systems, i18n, accessibility (WCAG), and frontend observability.
• Translate product into technical strategy and influence roadmap.

What You Bring:

• Expert React (performance patterns, Suspense, concurrent features).
• Advanced TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of rendering models (CSR/SSR/SSG/ISR).
• Strong JS, browser internals, CSS architecture.
• Testing (Jest, RTL, Cypress/Playwright).
• Cloud&monitoring experience.

Remote UK. Expensed travel for key events.
