Company Overview

Nexus International Entertainment is the international iGaming operator behind the Spartans brand. As Spartans continues to scale across markets, we are strengthening our global payments infrastructure to support growth, improve conversion, and optimise transaction efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Payments to lead our payments strategy and build a scalable, high-performance PSP network across key markets.

Role Overview

The Head of Payments will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s global payments strategy, including PSP selection, negotiation, optimisation, and performance monitoring.

This is a senior role focused on improving approval rates, reducing processing costs, strengthening fraud controls, and enabling seamless market expansion.

The position reports directly to senior leadership and has direct commercial impact.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard relevant PSPs across priority markets
• Negotiate commercial terms, fees, and service-level agreements
• Improve deposit approval rates and reduce transaction friction
• Optimise routing logic and payment orchestration
• Reduce chargebacks and fraud-related losses
• Monitor payment KPIs including approval rates, decline codes, and cost ratios
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and AML requirements
• Build scalable payments infrastructure to support international growth

Candidate Requirements

• 8–12+ years experience in iGaming payments or fintech payments leadership
• Strong network of PSP relationships across key regulated and emerging markets
• Proven track record improving approval rates and reducing processing costs
• Deep understanding of:
• Card acquiring
• Alternative payment methods (APMs)
• Local payment rails
• Fraud mitigation tools
• Payment orchestration
• Strong commercial negotiation experience
• Experience operating in multi-market environments
