Description
A Visual Storytelling Lead is an AI-native version of a Supervising Director role and requires both experience working with GenAI and 10+ years professional narrative (television, film, microdramas) directing experience, with at least 3 years experience giving notes and supervising other filmmakers. This role is responsible for crafting the image and video visual generation policies, the guardrails, the LLM-as-judge prompts, and the agentic role prompts (for asset creation, shot framing, camera moves, dramatic acting, action, etc.) to steer AI driven story generation. Leverage AI to develop new visual storytelling paradigms, new genres, new experiences – and expand the capabilities of every artist on the team to create more and better than ever. This role is also responsible for creatively supervising overall visual storytelling for multiple simultaneous series of innovative content developed leveraging an state-of-the-art AI-driven platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and direction of creative teams for GenAI serialized short form content: Help content production teams understand the visual storytelling language of short form content formats, both horizontal and vertical, guiding them to develop deep understanding of camera framing and movement, acting beats, staging action, compliment and contrast within a scene, and other elements of filmmaking as applied to short form content.
- AI innovation: Work with technical teams to help bring more AI capabilities into the visual storytelling workflow by helping develop policies, guardrails, creation prompts, validation prompts, and agentic architectures that become force multipliers for the entire team.
- Familiarity with filmmaking or animation: Understand traditional foundations, principles and procedures of producing filmed entertainment, especially serialized short form content.
- Oversee AI-generated content quality: Conduct human review and provide creative direction feedback to artists to drive them to create a compelling narrative for the audience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketers, designers, and subject-matter experts to align AI-assisted content with broader marketing goals and campaigns.
Learning Agility: Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies, platforms, and complex processes.
