Head of Strategic Sales, EMEA
Overview
What do we do?
Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.
We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
The Opportunity:
Paddle is entering its next chapter of growth, and we’re looking for a strategic sales leader to own it in EMEA.
This is not a management role for the faint-hearted. We’re looking for someone who has seen great, built great, and can walk the walk – an operator who can align the team around a compelling vision for how Paddle wins in the upmarket segment, and then roll up their sleeves to make it happen alongside their team.
You will lead Paddle’s Upmarket GTM motion across EMEA, working with some of the fastest growing SaaS, mobile app and AI scale ups such as n8n, Codeway and Runna.
These are ambitious, high-velocity businesses navigating global expansion, monetisation complexity, and billing infrastructure decisions that will define their next decade of growth. You’ll position Paddle as the strategic partner of choice at exactly that moment.
The Role:
You will own and lead Paddle’s EMEA Upmarket sales team, building up a team of 5 IC’s comprising new business hunters and portfolio account farmers; winning net new logos & expanding a rich set of existing Paddle accounts where we hold partial wallet share but have significant runway to expand brand capture, increase share of wallet, and extend geographic ownership.
You own the number. Bookings and revenue. Delivering it through the effective leadership of your team and your own direct, hands-on contribution.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, cross-functional choreography, & best in class execution. The best candidate will be someone who can operate at all three levels simultaneously, not just one.
What you’ll do:
Develop and lead a Best-in-Class Upmarket GTM Motion:
-
Define and own the EMEA Upmarket sales strategy — ideal customer profile, segment prioritisation, coverage model, pipeline generation approach, and territory design.
-
Build and execute a sales playbook that delivers consistent, repeatable outcomes across new business and account expansion.
-
Partner with Marketing, Partnerships, and RevOps to ensure pipeline health and GTM alignment.
Lead and develop a high-performing team:
-
Hire, coach, and develop a team of 5 ICs — a mix of new business AEs and expansion-focused account managers.
-
Create a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
-
Run structured deal reviews, pipeline inspections, and 1:1s that genuinely move the needle.
Own the number and drive commercial outcomes:
-
Take full ownership of bookings and revenue targets for EMEA Upmarket.
-
Personally engage in strategic deals — providing executive air cover, navigating complex procurement processes, and closing.
-
Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and forecasting discipline.
Be the voice of EMEA Upmarket within Paddle:
-
Represent the EMEA upmarket perspective in leadership discussions, product feedback loops, and GTM planning cycles.
-
Partner with the broader Commercial leadership team to shape how Paddle scales its upmarket motion globally.
Who we’re looking for:
-
A proven sales leader with a track record of building and scaling high-performing upmarket / enterprise sales teams in EMEA, ideally within a SaaS or fintech environment.
-
Someone who has carried and consistently exceeded a significant bookings target — and led teams to do the same.
-
A player-coach who is equally comfortable in the boardroom with a strategic prospect and in the weeds coaching a rep through a complex deal.
-
A builder — someone who thrives in environments where the playbook isn’t fully written yet, and who has the vision and grit to write it.
-
A strong cross-functional collaborator who can work effectively with Marketing, Product, Finance, and RevOps to drive outcomes.
-
Deep EMEA market knowledge — understanding of regional buying behaviours, commercial norms, and cultural nuances across key markets.
-
Exceptional communication and executive presence — able to inspire internally and command credibility externally.
Why Paddle?
We’re solving a genuinely complex problem that matters deeply to our customers. We’re a team of builders who care about doing great work. We invest in our people, move fast, and give our leaders the autonomy to make real decisions.
If you’re looking for a role where you can build something meaningful, lead a talented team, and make a direct impact on Paddle’s next chapter — this is it.
