Senior Back-End Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll work closely with product and UX to architect and ship features across our platform. You'll own real decisions, contribute to architecture early, and ship things customers actually use. You will have a strong bias toward action, adapt rapidly to new tools (including AI agents like Claude Code), and communicate well within tight, high-trust teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining backend APIs for new platform products and features.
• Designing standalone systems with clean separation from legacy infrastructure.
• Integrating third-party services - AI/LLM tools, video infrastructure, analytics platforms.
• Supporting AI-powered features including LLM-based data processing and automated workflows.
• Collaborating directly with product and UX - including jumping on user interviews to hear feedback firsthand.

What We're Looking For

• Active user of modern agentic engineering tools, such as Claude Code.
• Solid experience with backend API development and RESTful/JSON-RPC design.
• Comfortable with database architecture - knowing when to share and when to separate.
• Familiarity with integrating external APIs (AWS, GCloud, general HTTP integrations).
• Exposure to AI/LLM integrations is a strong plus.
• Collaborative by default - you document as you go, advocate for realistic timelines, and loop people in early.
• You care about what you're building, not just that it builds.
