Senior Azure/Fabric Data Engineer | KD Pharma
Overview
GT was founded in 2019 by a former Apple, Nest, and Google executive. GT’s mission is to connect the world’s best talent with product careers offered by high-growth companies in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.
On behalf of KD Pharma, GT is looking for a Senior Azure/Fabric Data Engineer with architecture exposure, interested in assessing, designing, and potentially building a modern data platform to support Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and Quality/Manufacturing functions.
**Expected Involvement: The engagement will initially start with a part-time discovery phase of approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time implementation role following the discovery phase and client approval.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Founded in 1988, KD Pharma is a pure-play, technology-driven CDMO (Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization) dedicated to revolutionizing pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production. They are uniquely recognized for offering ultra-pure Omega-3 concentrates at commercial scale through patented supercritical fluid chromatography technologies.
Located in Germany, Norway, the UK, the USA, Canada, Peru, and with sales presence across Asia, they deliver end-to-end solutions from custom synthesis to finished dosage forms while adhering to cGMP and global certifications
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project aims to assess and establish a robust Azure and Microsoft Fabric-based data platform to support BI, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and Quality/Manufacturing, with executive visibility.
The initial discovery phase will focus on reviewing the existing data estate, business requirements, source-system integrations, platform capacity, operating costs, data quality, governance, and reporting needs.
A key part of the assignment will be assessing the appropriate use of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data services, and defining a scalable, cost-effective target architecture.
The platform is expected to integrate data from multiple ERP, manufacturing, and quality systems, including Business Central, TrackWise, and SAP ECC6 extracts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on senior role combining data engineering, architecture, and client-facing advisory work.
You will help translate business and technical requirements into practical architecture recommendations, assess key trade-offs, and define an implementation roadmap. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic architect-builder who can work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Following the discovery phase, the role may transition into a full-time implementation engagement.
