HelpDesk Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements:- 3+ years experience in an IT support or infrastructure role.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, networking, and VPNs.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Defender.
- Experience with firewalls, switches, servers, storage, and virtualisation would be advantageous.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900 or AZ-104 would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of mobile devices and Mac, iOS, Android, or Linux environments would be beneficial.
- Provide IT support by phone, email, and remote access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Support customer computers, servers, networks, and cloud systems.
- Install and configure hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Carry out occasional on-site customer support.
- Deliver day-to-day technical support to help customers resolve issues and keep IT environments running effectively.
- Support a wide range of systems, customers, and technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and cloud-based solutions.

We are seeking a Helpdesk Infrastructure Engineer to join a supportive and forward-thinking IT team in Northampton. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with an ASAP start. The role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, an extra holiday day after 3 years service, pension scheme, free parking, office snacks and drinks, hybrid working of up to 2 days per week after probation, private medical cover, healthcare cash plan, performance bonus scheme, and the opportunity to join weekend support.
