Temporary IT Support Technician

Requirements:

• We would love to hear from you if you have experience supporting Windows 11 and setting up laptops or desktop equipment.
• We would love to hear from you if you have knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Teams.
• We would love to hear from you if you have experience supporting user accounts, passwords and two-factor authentication.
• We would love to hear from you if you have confidence troubleshooting common IT issues including printers, Wi-Fi and peripherals.
• We would love to hear from you if you have a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• We would love to hear from you if you have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• We would love to hear from you if you have the patience and ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• We would love to hear from you if you have a reliable and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload.
• We would love to hear from you if you are comfortable working independently as well as part of a small IT team.
• A full UK driving licence is required as some travel between local sites may be necessary.

Responsibilities:

• We will provide first-line IT support to users and respond to day-to-day technical queries.
• We will set up, configure and deploy laptops and Windows 11 devices.
• We will support users with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• We will assist with passwords, user accounts and two-factor authentication.
• We will troubleshoot everyday issues involving printing, Wi-Fi, peripherals, logins and desktop hardware.
• We will provide patient, practical support and basic guidance to users with differing levels of technical confidence.
• We will support users both in person and remotely where required.

We are working with an established organisation in the Pickering area to recruit a friendly, proactive and hands-on IT Support Technician for a part-time temporary role of approximately 8 weeks. The position is 25 hours per week and offers a varied opportunity to make an immediate impact within a small IT team. Some flexibility around working hours may occasionally be required, and travel between local sites may be necessary.
