Engineering Manager, Voice Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and scale the Voice Platform team as a working manager
• Balance people leadership with hands-on design, coding, and review of Go microservices and SIP/RTP
• Drive architectural vision for a distributed cloud-based VoIP platform
• Collaborate with Product, SRE, and Support to ensure high availability and call quality
• Hire and retain top engineering talent; manage interview cycles
• Foster a culture aligned with Weave values and incident-driven improvement

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in designing/building large-scale distributed VoIP networks
• Engineering Manager experience in software/telecom
• Staff-level SIP/VoIP expertise with Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, RTPengine, Homer
• Go programming with Python, Bash, LUA scripting
• Strong TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, TLS, ICE/STUN/TURN, WebRTC knowledge
• Cloud (GCP preferred) and Kubernetes; Terraform/Ansible familiarity
