DLP Engineer

Salary: £130,000 - 143,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Symantec (Broadcom) DLP is essential.
• Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise DLP policies within Symantec/Broadcom DLP.
• Experience with Zscaler DLP, including policy creation, migration, or administration, is highly desirable.
• Proven experience delivering DLP policy migration or transformation projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills within large enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of DLP policy testing, validation, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse and understand our existing Symantec (Broadcom) DLP environment, policies, and data protection controls.
• Review current DLP policies across multiple data channels and identify migration requirements.
• Design, build, and implement equivalent DLP policies within the Zscaler DLP platform.
• Work closely with Zscaler specialists, internal engineering teams, and key stakeholders throughout the migration.
• Produce clear technical documentation covering policy design, configuration, testing outcomes, and implementation processes.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones on schedule.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, and operational support to internal teams.

We are seeking an experienced DLP Policy Engineer to support a major enterprise data security transformation. This is a 6-month contract initially, paying £500 per day, inside IR35, and fully remote. The role focuses on migrating Symantec DLP policies and controls to the Zscaler Data Loss Prevention platform while maintaining business-critical security requirements throughout the transition.
