Senior Functional Consultant (D365 and Power Platform)

Salary: £28,000 - 51,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require in-depth expertise in Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform products, with at least two of the following: Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Field Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Power BI.
• We require an understanding of AI features within Microsoft Dynamics CE and Power Platform, including how to use them to deliver benefits to business users and their customers.
• We require familiarity with related Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, and the ability to configure integrations with Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
• We require end-to-end implementation experience on multiple Dynamics 365 CE or Power Platform projects, ideally medium to high size and/or complexity, covering requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, data migration, cutover, and reporting.
• We require the ability to create and influence solution designs with a configuration-first approach, using customisation only where essential to reduce implementation and maintenance risks and costs.
• We require the ability to demonstrate out-of-the-box functionality to business and technical stakeholders and explain how the product supports core business processes.
• We require proficiency in designing and building classic and Power Automate workflows to automate medium-complexity tasks.
• We require experience engaging stakeholders at all levels, eliciting and prioritising requirements through interviews, user shadowing, discovery workshops, and business process mapping.
• We require excellent influencing and communication skills, including the ability to recognise when to seek support with challenging stakeholders.
• We value the ability to translate business requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria.
• We value a proactive approach to research, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and timely issue escalation.
• We value familiarity with DevOps for managing Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks, and using it to reflect sprint progress.

Responsibilities:

• We bridge the gap between IT capability and business expectations on Microsoft Dynamics projects.
• We collaborate with clients to design and build solutions based on Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, including AI features.
• We work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Dynamics 365 solutions.
• We identify opportunities to make the best use of platform features, balancing the benefits and risks of customisation.
• We recommend the best approach to support client needs.
• We help deliver discovery workshops, create functional designs, configure solutions, support testing, assist with data migration, deliver training, and support implementation.
• We may lead one or more functional consultants on small to moderate-sized and complex projects.
• We identify priorities, assign tasks, and make the best use of available resources and skill levels within the team.
• We build relationships with counterparts in other disciplines and within client teams.
• We contribute to the successful management of dependencies between disciplines.
• We may manage, coach, and develop junior colleagues, focusing on performance management and career development.
• We support a culture of wellbeing and inclusion and help ensure team members manage workload and stress effectively.
