Junior AIT Space Systems Integration Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with an interest in electronics assembly, testing and integration.
• We will consider candidates with a relevant degree in electronics assembly, testing and integration.
• Real-world experience would be a bonus.
• All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
• Some roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting, typically including 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required.

Responsibilities:

• Support the integration and functional test phases within spacecraft production, working with software tools and hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive test procedures for various spacecraft systems.
• Analyze test results to identify issues, trends, and improvements, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability of spacecraft and sub-systems.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for all software tools and test procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to ensure cohesive integration and testing processes.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the assembly, integration, and testing phases.
• Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AIT processes.
