Engineering Manager, Data Modeling

📋 Description

• Lead the delivery and evolution of foundational data models covering product usage, customers
• Mentor data professionals while staying hands-on with design, implementation, and problem-solving.
• Build and operate data products using SQL, Python, and Spark in a lakehouse (Databricks) with
• Establish and maintain shared metric definitions and semantic layers for consistent interpretation
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define foundational concepts and reflect them in shared
• Collaborate with Data Platform on architecture, reliability, governance, and maintainability.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years leading data professionals with mentoring and direction-setting experience.
• 6+ years building and owning shared, reusable data models in modern data platforms.
• Strong SaaS data environment knowledge: product usage, customer, account, and business data.
• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency, hands-on Spark experience and lakehouse tech such as
• Experience designing data systems for quality, reliability, availability, performance, and cost
• Reuse-first mindset with ability to create durable, shared models and metrics for multiple teams.
