Software Engineer, Backend - Data Layer

📋 Description

• Build and maintain backend services for storing and serving process data across relational DBs and
• Own initiatives end-to-end from design to delivery, translating product requirements into technical
• Improve data processing, retention, exposure, and streaming to help customers access data
• Enhance performance/scalability of storage systems and develop tooling for observability and safe
• Troubleshoot production data-layer issues and participate in on-call rotations (L3 support).
• Collaborate with Product, Support, SRE, QA, and other teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional Backend Software Engineer experience with production data stores.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
• Understanding of query performance, indexing, data modeling, execution plans, and trade-offs in
• Experience delivering complex engineering initiatives from requirements analysis to reliable
• Ability to troubleshoot data-related production issues and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Strong communication and remote-friendly collaboration with Product and Engineering stakeholders.
