Head of Data Center Design

📋 Description

• Own the technical design, architecture, and vision for large-scale data center facilities.
• Define Basis of Design: modular POD, cooling, power, fire, networking.
• Set design standards for IT deployment: racks, containerization, CDU.
• Lead design reviews and approve drawings across trades.
• Set design targets for PUE, capacity, availability, redundancy, reliability.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and partners on specs and integration.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data center design or critical infrastructure facilities.
• Ownership of Basis of Design documentation for large facilities.
• At least 3 years in a design/technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution/topology and cooling; fire and structure awareness.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews and drawings approvals.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into design standards and execution plans.
