We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to lead the automation of complex legal and financial documents for our global clients, with a strong preference for those familiar with SmartDX (Smart Communications) or equivalent platforms. This role requires both deep technical capability and precision, as the templates you create will support high-value legal and capital markets transactions. As a senior member of the team, you'll not only develop and maintain robust automation logic, but also provide technical leadership, advise on best practices, and support junior developers as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Template Engineering: Lead the development of logic-driven SmartDX templates and similar automation solutions for legal and structured finance documents (e.g. term sheets, final terms).
Code Quality & Governance: Enforce best practices across coding standards, documentation, version control, and testing.
Mentorship: Support and guide junior developers on coding logic, debugging, QA, and template best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise confidently with clients (legal/ops teams) to understand business logic and translate it into automation-ready code.
Troubleshooting: Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve complex issues across template logic, formatting, and integrations.
Technical Oversight: Contribute to tooling decisions, platform improvements, and automation workflows across the document lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4+ years in a software development role, ideally within fintech, legal tech, or capital markets.
Proven experience with SmartDX (Smart Communications) or similar document automation/drafting systems.
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and Object-Oriented Programming; TypeScript experience is a plus.
Experience with capital markets or financial/legal documents is highly desirable.
Strong command of English (C2 level or equivalent) – comfortable engaging with clients and teams globally.
