Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code and conduct peer to peer code reviews.
• Contribute to and follow coding standards, architectural guidelines and structure.
• Collaborate with your manager and peers to help define how we build software, scale our systems, and evolve our engineering culture.

Requirements

• Team Leadership: Ability to be able to lead a development team, supporting goal and growth expectations.
• SaaS: Solid understanding of the SaaS model in the online environment.
• SolidCoreTechnology Experience: Proven experience in designing and building scalable, and maintainable applications using Java (Java 8+, with experience or a strong desire to work with Java 21) and Spring Boot.
• AWS Expertise: Understanding and hands-on experience with core AWS services
• Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Mobile Development: Experience with native mobile app development using Swift & Java.
• Software Development Best Practices: A strong commitment to writing clean, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code. Proficient with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Documentation: Technical design and documentation skills.
• Inquisitive: Attention to detail and a genuine interest in technological trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with teams in building and maintaining web applications using React and/or JavaScript.
• Experience in the FinTech or expense management industry.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging queues.
